01 / Before words

A relation can work before it is named.

The point is not that every response is conscious, symbolic, or linguistic. The point is simpler: a difference in one living system can organize a meaningful response in another without waiting for a word.

Meaning here is not a word attached afterwards. It is visible in the way one system's change alters what becomes relevant and possible for another.

Once relation exists, position changes possibility.

A semonic field is local. Change the neighborhood, boundary, or reachable paths and the same node may acquire a different role without changing its intrinsic label.

A useful field states its neighborhood rule. Change the boundary and the relevant geometry may change.

Test whether a relation remains when nodes move, links disappear, or the observation window changes.

Semonic Fields does not need to replace graph theory, embeddings, semantic networks, or biology. It asks a different relational question and keeps provenance explicit.
